Event flow trigger examples
FeaturedYou can configure event flows to trigger when a record is created, or edited, or both to cater for a wide array of scenarios where you would like Pendula to action something based on changes within your Salesforce environment.
Below are a number of examples (using the updated event flow UI from our November release) based on triggering a flow when a record is edited.
Example 1: Trigger a flow when a field is edited
In this example, the flow will trigger whenever the Status field is edited (to any value).
Example 2: Trigger a flow when a field is edited to a specific value
In this example, the flow will trigger whenever the Status field is edited to the value of either "Contacted" or "Nurturing".
Example 3: Trigger a flow when a field is edited to a specific value, and additional rules on the record are met
In this example, the flow will trigger whenever the Status field is edited to the value of either "Contacted" or "Nurturing" for records where Lead Source is equal to "Advertisement".
Example 4: Trigger a flow when a field is edited, and additional rules on the record are met
In this example, the flow will trigger whenever the Status field is edited (to any value), and Lead Source is equal to "Advertisement" or "Web".
Example 5: Trigger a flow when any watched fields are edited
In this example, the flow will trigger when either the Call Request or Last Activity fields are edited (to any value).
Example 6: Trigger a flow when a record is created and rules on the record are met, or a field is edited and rules on the record are met
In this example, the flow will trigger whenever a new Lead record is created with Status equal to "New" and Lead Source equal to "Web", or when the Call Request field is edited (to any value) and Status equal to "New" and Lead Source equal to "Web".
